Board pack

One page for your board.

For the elders, deacons or council who decide with you: what it does on a Sunday, what it costs, and how we treat your people’s privacy and the Scriptures. Print it, save it as a PDF, or send the link.

In English for now. 繁體中文, 简体中文, 한국어 and Español versions come later.

Voclyn

A brief for the board · November 2026

Live captions and voice, in each person’s own language.

Voclyn turns the sermon into captions, and if wanted an AI voice, on each person’s phone, in their own language, as it is preached. Nobody in the congregation needs an app or an account.

On a Sunday

  • A laptop or phone at the sound desk listens to the same sound as the speakers.
  • People scan one QR code and choose their language. The code never changes.
  • Captions follow a moment behind the speaker. Anyone who prefers can listen with earphones to an AI voice.
  • The pastor can switch languages mid-sentence; everyone keeps following in their own.

Who it helps

  • Members who worship in a second language, and elders most at home in their first.
  • Second-generation families who follow better in English, in the same service as their parents.
  • Visitors and newcomers who don’t yet share the church’s language.
  • People who are hard of hearing, who can read along on their phone.

Privacy, plainly

  • No accounts, cookies or tracking for anyone who follows a service.
  • Service audio is streamed to be transcribed and translated, never recorded or kept.
  • Transcripts are saved only if the church turns them on.
  • Every company that helps us is named, with what it receives, at voclyn.com/privacy.

Scripture and AI

Captions and the voice are AI translation, and always labelled as such. Nothing preached is rewritten, summarised or softened. With Scripture lock, a passage the preacher names and reads is shown from a published public-domain Bible (the Berean Standard Bible, Reina-Valera 1909, 개역한글, 和合本) in English, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese and Mandarin, marked “Published text · not AI”. Other readings are translated in the wording of each language’s classic Bible, and labelled AI.

The free month

Every church starts with 30 days (4 Sundays) of everything in Church, with no card. At the end the church chooses a plan, or moves to Free. Nothing is charged unless someone chooses a plan, and the QR code keeps working either way.

How to start

  1. Press “Start your free month” at voclyn.com, name the church and open its doors. The account comes last, once its QR code is ready.
  2. Print the QR code. Most churches are ready in an afternoon.
  3. Try it one Sunday with a few members, then tell everyone.

Questions: hello@voclyn.com. A person reads every message.

“How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language?”
