How the prices work
LiveVoice prices in two parts. An account plan, booked by the day or as a monthly or yearly subscription, sets how many people can listen at once and which features you get. AI is added on top and billed by the minute: $0.52 a minute per language for AI voice and text translation, or $0.21 for live captions. It lists special conditions for non-profits and churches.
At $0.52 a minute, AI translation comes to $31.20 an hour for each language. Four one-hour services a month into two languages use 480 language-minutes: $249.60 of AI translation, plus the account plan.
Voclyn’s plans are flat: Free, then $69, $99 or $249 a month (C$99, C$139, C$349). Paid plans have unlimited translation hours under fair use, with captions in every language your people choose, and include the AI voice in each of your languages it speaks, with no hours to count. Listeners never count.
LiveVoice’s minutes include the voice; Voclyn’s paid plans include it in the flat price, with no hours to count. Which costs less depends on how many hours you translate, into how many languages, and how many people listen at once. See Voclyn’s plans.
What Voclyn does differently
- One price, however many languages. On paid plans, a service captioned in six languages costs the same as one in two.
- Flat monthly plans, unlimited listeners. Free, then $69, $99 or $249 a month (C$99, C$139, C$349). Paid plans have unlimited translation hours (fair use) and include the AI voice in each of your languages it speaks, with no hours to count; no service is cut halfway.
- Made for a service. The desk goes live with a hold and rests with one tap while the church sings (lyrics aren’t translated), and a private moment hides captions on every phone, with nothing saved.
- Switch languages mid-sentence. Voclyn detects the language being spoken by itself, so a pastor can tell a story in Korean and make the point in English without anyone touching a setting. How switching works.
- Bible readings from the Bible. When the pastor names a passage and reads it, English, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese and Mandarin readers see it from the published Bible their church chose (the BSB or KJV, the Reina-Valera 1909, 개역한글, and 和合本 in its 神 or 上帝 edition), marked “Published text · not AI”, on phones and the big screen, and the voice reads the verse. Other languages get the reading translated and labelled AI. About Scripture lock.
Where LiveVoice does better
- Human interpreters. Interpreters can work at the church or from anywhere, each language on its own channel, with relay interpretation and hand-over between interpreters. Voclyn doesn’t carry an interpreter’s voice to the phones; it captions and translates what it hears.
- The room’s own sound. LiveVoice can stream the service audio as it is to parents with small children, an overflow room or people at home. Voclyn sends captions and an AI voice, not the room’s sound.
- More than Sunday. Day plans for single events, recording, and uses from conferences and guided tours to sports events and audio description, with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Cvent and ON24 among the platforms it works with. For a one-off event, Voclyn sets up everything in the Church plan for the day: write to us.
- People to help. A help centre, and service packages for planning, set-up and language interpretation, on request.
- A long track record. More than 5,000 clients and 200,000 events in over 100 countries, ICF Church Zurich among them (its own figures).
Who should choose which
Choose LiveVoice if your church has interpreters and wants their voices on phones, at church or from home, wants the service’s own sound in a nursery or an overflow room, or runs conferences and online events.
Choose Voclyn if nobody is free to interpret every Sunday, your pastor switches languages, you want Bible readings from a published Bible in Spanish, Korean or Chinese, and you want one flat monthly price with no cap on listeners. Try it with your voice.

Yes. Voclyn captions whoever speaks, the interpreter included, and in rooms without Cantonese each voice gets its own colour on the phones. It doesn't send an interpreter's voice to phones as an audio channel, as LiveVoice does. To show only the pastor, leave the interpreter's microphone out of the mix sent to Voclyn.
We haven't tested LiveVoice, so we don't compare speed or accuracy. Our own measurements, with the method and the raw timings, are on our quality page.
No. They scan the church's QR code with the phone camera, or open its link, and pick a language. There is no app and no account, and the QR code never changes.
