How the prices work
Breeze’s home page starts at $8 a week. It bills weekly, monthly or every six months, with no long-term contract and no lock-in. At $8 a week, a year comes to $416, about $35 a month. Its home page gives the starting price; ask Breeze what a plan would include for your services and languages.
Voclyn’s plans are Free, then $69, $99 or $249 a month (C$99, C$139, C$349). Free has 6 hours a month, captions in one language plus your main language, with no time limit. Paid plans have unlimited translation hours (fair use), captions in every language your people choose and the AI voice in each of your languages it speaks, with no hours to count. See the plans.
What Voclyn does differently
- Made for a service. The desk goes live with a hold and rests with one tap while the church sings (lyrics aren’t translated), and a private moment hides captions on every phone, with nothing saved.
- Bible readings from the Bible. When the pastor names a passage and reads it, English, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese and Mandarin readers see it from the published Bible their church chose (the BSB or KJV, the Reina-Valera 1909, 개역한글, and 和合本 in its 神 or 上帝 edition), marked “Published text · not AI”, on phones and the big screen, and the voice reads the verse. Other languages get the reading translated and labelled AI. About Scripture lock.
- Your church’s words. Voclyn’s glossary teaches both the speech engine and the translator your pastors’ names and your church’s words. Your church chooses 神 or 上帝, 하나님 or 하느님, culto or Misa, starting from a pack for its tradition, and a fix in Monday’s transcript is used from the next service. About the glossary.
- Your church’s own page. Your church’s name and logo on the listener page, and a print kit with a poster, a table tent, pew cards and a slide, each with your church’s QR code, which never changes. About branding.
Where Breeze Translate does better
- A lower starting price. At $8 a week, about $35 a month, Breeze starts below Voclyn’s Chapel plan at $69. Voclyn’s Free plan costs nothing, for 6 hours a month in one language plus your main language.
- Pay by the week. Weekly billing with no long-term contract suits a church that translates for a season. Voclyn’s paid plans are billed by the month or the year.
- Its site in 70 languages. Members and newcomers can read about Breeze in their own language. Voclyn’s listener page has its own buttons in English, Cantonese, Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Spanish and French.
- More languages to choose. Nearly 200 by its count; Voclyn’s listeners choose from 100+.
- A ministry from the start. Breeze began at the Kingdom Code hackathon, calls itself a ministry business that serves the ones and twos first, and SIL Global uses it as its live-translation partner.
Who should choose which
Choose Breeze Translate if a weekly price from $8 suits your church, you want to pay by the week, or your members want to read about it in their own language.
Choose Voclyn if you want a free plan for 6 hours a month, Bible readings from a published Bible in Spanish, Korean or Chinese, your church’s words set once, or your church’s name, logo and print kit on Sunday. Try it with your voice.
