Big screen
The big screen, on a Sunday.
Open your room’s screen link on the computer connected to the projector, press F for full screen and leave it. Voclyn’s big screen shows your QR code before the service, captions while it’s live and thanks at the end, by itself.
It comes with Chapel, Church and Campus, and with the free month.
See it
Press play and watch the screen.
A sample service. The big screen shows each sentence as it was heard, with a translation under it, while every phone follows in its own language.
Open it
- Copy the link in Rooms & QR › your room › Big screen captions, or open Big screen view from the console’s “Show the congregation” card. It looks like
voclyn.com/<your-link>/screen. - Open it on the computer connected to the projector or TV, in Chrome, Edge or Safari. It needs no sign-in.
- Press F for full screen. The Full screen button and the pointer hide after a moment.
- Read it from the back row before people arrive.
The page keeps the display awake while it’s open, where the browser allows; if the computer still goes to sleep, turn sleep off in its settings.
What it shows, by itself
| When | The screen shows |
|---|---|
| Before the service | Your church’s name, a large QR code and “Scan for your language” in your languages. |
| Live | Each sentence once it’s finished, in up to three languages, each labelled with its own name and as the original or an AI translation. A small QR code waits in the corner. |
| Worship | A quiet Worship board with the QR code. |
| A break or a private moment | “Translation paused” |
| A dropped connection | The last lines stay up and a small “Reconnecting…” appears; it catches up by itself. |
| The end | “Thank you for worshipping with us” and your church’s name. |
Choose its languages
In Rooms & QR › your room › Big screen, choose where it shows (a screen of its own, or under your slides), its languages, how far the back row sits and the background; a preview shows the result. The screen shows your church’s own languages, not the ones visitors choose on their phones; unless you choose, the ones translated for the room. Its link stays the same: reload the screen to see a change, even mid-service. A link can carry settings of its own, such as ?langs=en,es, which win: every setting is on the big screen page.
If it shows a notice
| The screen shows | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Big screen captions come with the paid plans.” | The church is on Free; a plan comes from Billing. A screen left open since the free month shows this from the first service on Free. |
| “This screen’s link isn’t active.” | The link doesn’t match a room: mistyped, or the room’s link changed. Copy it again from Rooms & QR. |
| The QR code, while phones already show words | The screen is on another room’s link, or its page lost its connection. Check the link and reload it. |
| “Reconnecting…” | The projector computer’s connection. It catches up by itself; if it lasts, check that computer’s Wi-Fi. |
Bigger text for the back row
The text is sized for the people furthest from the screen. If the back row still can’t read it, add depth= with the distance from the screen to the back row and imgh= with the picture’s height, in the same unit, metres or feet: the text grows to suit, as far as the screen allows. Fewer languages, or lines=1, leave room for bigger text.
Over slides and on the livestream
The same link makes a lower third in ProPresenter, OBS and vMix. Several screen links can be open at once, so the projector and the stream can show different languages.
Talk to us
A person answers hello@voclyn.com Sundays 7:00–13:00 Vancouver time. Say which church and room it is (the link people scan), what the console and the phones show, and add a screenshot if you can.
Outside those hours, write anyway: we answer as soon as we can.

No. Any computer with a browser can show the screen link on a projector or TV; press F for full screen.
Yes, up to three, chosen in the room's Big screen tab from all 100+ languages. A room set to Only your languages shows its own. Everyone else reads their language on their phone.
It waits for each sentence to finish and shows it whole, which is easier to read from the pews. Phones show the words as they're spoken.
