Mid-service
Something stopped mid-service.
Look at Voclyn’s console first. Its top bar says whether the service is live and connected, and the line along its bottom says what is wrong and what to do. Dropped connections mend themselves; the rest take one step at the desk.
At the desk
What the console says.
The console's own top bar and the line along its bottom, in the moments this page is about. Pick one.
Live, the clock running, Connected, and nothing along the bottom.

Thirty seconds at the desk
- Is it live? The top bar shows a red Live pill with the service clock. If it says Not live, the service has ended: hold the button to go live again.
- Is it connected? Beside the pill: Connected, Reconnecting… or Offline.
- Is it Worship or a break? Then the pill says Worship or Break instead of Live, and phones are resting on purpose. Choose Speech (or press S) when someone speaks.
- Does it hear? The Sound card shows the level in words, and “Hearing” with the language it hears.
- What does the bottom line say? One message at a time, the most important first, and the next step in its own words.
What the console says
| The console says | What to do |
|---|---|
| “No sound from the mixer for 10 seconds. Is the aux send muted?” | Check the send, the cable and the input: sound from the desk. |
| “Internet is slow. Phones may lag a few seconds; captions catch up by themselves.” | Nothing, unless it lasts; then the desk’s connection: Wi-Fi and mobile data. |
| “Another console took over this service. The sound now comes from there.” | Someone chose Continue the service here on another device, so that console sends the sound now. If it should come from this one, press Take it back. |
| “This service is live from another console.” | Another device sends the sound and phones are following. Nothing to do; choose Continue the service here only if the sound should come from this one. |
| “Phones are getting no words: no console is sending the sound.” | The service is live but no console sends its sound (this page was reloaded, or the sound desk’s console closed). Press Continue here within a minute and a half, or the service ends by itself. |
| “Service ended”, with Resume | Resume, shown for 10 seconds, starts the service again; after that, hold to go live. Either way it is a new service in Sessions, and phones follow it by themselves. |
| “Couldn’t start. Check the internet and hold again.” | Check the desk’s connection, then hold again. |
| “The console can’t hear anything yet. Allow the microphone or pick another input, then hold again.” | The browser needs to be allowed to use the sound input: choose the input. |
| “This screen may go to sleep during the service.” | Turn sleep off in the device’s settings until the service ends, and keep it on its charger. |
| “You’ve been signed out, so the console can’t reach the live service for this room.” | Sign in again on this device. |
| “Your plan allows 1 live room at a time. Stop the other room or upgrade.” | Another of your rooms is live. End it there, then hold again. |
| “The console can’t reach the live service for this room.” | Reload the page; if it keeps happening, write to us (below). |
If the console closed
Captions come from the console’s page at the sound desk. If its tab closes, the laptop sleeps or the browser quits, the service waits a minute and a half: phones stay on it, with no new words until the console is back.
Open Go live again for the same room. A console that only lost its connection carries on by itself when it’s back. After a reload it says “This room is already live”: choose Continue the service here, and the sound flows again.
After a minute and a half without its console, the service ends. Hold to go live again: phones follow the new service by themselves, and Sessions lists it separately.
If it ended and nobody ended it
- The console was away for more than a minute and a half.
- A booth button or the API ended it: a Stream Deck or Companion, for instance.
- It had been running for 12 hours, paused time included.
- The console is suddenly back at “Hold to go live” with nothing said: the live service stopped on our side.
Each time, hold to go live again. If it won’t start, write to us with what the console says.
If only part of it stopped
- The phones, while the console looks fine: the phones show nothing.
- The AI voice: the AI voice doesn't play.
- The big screen: the big screen.
- One language: the console’s big screen preview shows the first three of your languages as they come; for another, open the listener page in it on a phone. When a sentence can’t be translated, phones get the words as spoken, marked Original, rather than nothing.

The console reconnects by itself, and phones catch up when it is back. If it stays offline for a minute and a half, the service ends; hold to go live again and phones follow the new one.
Yes. Press Resume in the console within 10 seconds, or hold to go live again. Either way a new service starts, and phones follow it by themselves.
A room has one console at a time, and the newest takes over. Close the other one, then reload the console at the desk and choose Continue the service here.
